Music exams are a fantastic way to structure and improve your playing on a musical instrument as they encourage a broad palette of topics and disciplines to study, introducing you to different genres of music, techniques to increase expression and repertoire you can take away and play anywhere!

Please note: Exams will be on any of the advertised days, so please ensure your child is available BEFORE submitting the entry. Refunds cannot be issued after submission due to exam board regulations.  Late entries can not be accepted, nor will entries via email.

ABRSM now charge £3.50 for the certificate, in addition to the main exam fee. The advertised fee includes a paper certificate, which will be administrated by BMT.

We are not able to accommodate requests for particular dates and unfortunately we are not able to refund any submitted entries. Dates and times will be issued no later than three weeks before the exam date.

    ABRSM Subsidies

    BMT may be able to gain a subsidy for exam fees from the board. If you consider your circumstances to fall into any of the categories below, please fill in the box below to give further details. You need to pay the full fees at the point of application, and then any reimbursement of fees that is allocated will be processed. Please note that this subsidy is not guaranteed.
