About Us
Music Centres
BMT runs three main Music Centres in Amersham, Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
Each centre runs a wide range of groups, choirs and ensembles catering for young musicians aged 4 – 18 and are designed to provide excellent progression for the absolute beginner through to the most advanced player.
We also offer theory and aural tuition as well as some individual, paired and group tuition for those students for whom it is more appropriate to have lessons outside school hours.
Working with Schools
Bucks Music Trust works with a large number of Buckinghamshire schools of all types and phases. The Trust provides a range of different provisions: Services for Schools Brochure
Instrumental lessons for individuals and small groups.
These can be applied for both through the school and directly with the Trust using this online form. These lessons are taught by our instrumental and vocal teachers and cover voice, all orchestral instruments, guitar, piano and drums.
Early Years
Our Music for Munchkins programme is an excellent introduction to musical learning for children aged 4 – 6 years old.
Following on from Music for Munchkins, our MusiKids programme is designed for any young musician aged 6 -8 years old interested in learning, but is not sure what they wish to learn.
These programmes are also an excellent progression route from Whole Class Practical Musicianship for anyone who enjoys music but wishes to try a new musical instrument.
"All young musicians are welcome."
Concerts & Exams
All the Centres organise a range of concerts, events and performance opportunities in the Centre, in the local area and as part of wider, larger Music Trust projects. We are committed to ensuring that every child who takes part in the Centre gets the opportunity to perform as part of their provision and we also provide them with opportunities to engage with local community partners.
We are also official exam centres for ABRSM and Trinity exam boards. Our tutors are well versed in preparing students for both of these boards with fantastic success rates. Exams are hosted on our sites multiple times throughout the year, so you can take them whenever you're ready and with the comfort of taking them in familiar surroundings.

You can keep up to date with what is happening in each Music Centre through their termly newsletter and through Social Media via Facebook and Twitter. Please contact your local centre for any further information you may require. See contacts page for more information.
Forthcoming concerts and events are all posted on the calendar on the events page.
All young musicians are welcome and do not have to be having lessons with BMT tutors. We also welcome young musicians who live outside of the county where this may be the best option for them in terms of provision or location.
